Vertex-primitive s-arc-transitive Cayley digraphs
Determining an upper bound on s for vertex-primitive s-arc-transitive digraphs has been an open problem of considerable interest since a question asked by Praeger in 1990. Although much progress has been made and an upper bound is conjectured to be 2, a complete classification for s=2 remains out of reach. In this paper, we prove that the tight upper bound on s for finite vertex-primitive s-arc-transitive Cayley digraphs is exactly 2. Furthermore, we completely characterize the structure of these digraphs when s=2.

Chiral charge density waves in Janus monolayer
Spontaneous symmetry breaking and emergent electronic order have been widely discussed in condensed matter physics, providing a general framework for understanding complex phase transitions in quantum materials. Layered transition-metal dichalcogenides host a particularly rich variety of charge density wave states, which often compete or coexist with superconductivity. Here, using first-principles calculations, we propose that CDW instabilities are broadly realized in 1T Janus TMD monolayers. The condensation of CDW modes removes the remaining mirror symmetry of polar Janus lattice, giving rise to a threefold polar chiral phase. Momentum-resolved electron-phonon coupling and bare Lindhard susceptibility reveal distinct microscopic characteristics across the different CDW families. These results establish Janus monolayer as a versatile playground for exploring the interplay among chirality, electronic orders, and quantum phase transitions.

On the second lowest two-sided cell of an affine Weyl group
Let G be a connected reductive group and e be a nilpotent element in the Lie algebra of G. Let F_e be a maximal reductive subgroup of the centralizer of e in G. Let W be the extended affine Weyl group associated to G, and c the two-sided cell of W corresponding to e. Lusztig conjectured that the based ring J_c of c should be isomorphic to a F_e-equivarant K-group on the square of a finite set Y_e (G simply-connected). Bezrukavnikov and Ostrik proved a weaker form of this conjecture in 2004, by introducing an additional centrally extended structure. We prove that when e lies in the minimal nilpotent orbit, this centrally extended structure is trivial, and hence Lusztig’s conjecure holds for the second lowest cell. As a corollary, we confirm a conjecture posed by Jianyi Shi in 2011 that the the number of left cell in the second lowest two-sided cell is half cardinality of the finite Weyl group. This is joint work with Qianfan Zhou.
